Over the next few days, we will be seeing a few interesting and exciting changes in our Google searching experiences, as the search engine giant has recently announced its release of some innovative and useful new features.
Users will soon be able to search by image and by simply speaking (only in English, for now).
With Image Search, users can copy and paste a URL or drag and drop a photo from their desktop into the search bar, and Google uses various algorithms to recognize the photo and provide relevant information, including where the image was taken or similar images.
Image Search is particularly useful to web designers who are in need of images closely related to their project. Furthermore, their time spent searching online for desired images may be significantly reduced, as designers can give an example of what they want using an image rather than attempting to describe it in a few keywords. Such a change will hopefully bring about greater efficiency and ease in creating new and unique web designs.
How will you use Image Search, and do you think it will change the way you search on the net?
